The Giga-ROM™ CDROM uses the SHAREWARE distribution method. You are NOT buying the programs, but rather our duplication and cataloging service.
Authors of shareware programs provide them to you to try. Most programs are fully functional--not demos--and come with instructions. Shareware programs may be just as good as software you'd buy in computer stores, but since shareware authors don't have the expense of advertising and distribution, their programs cost much LESS!
Here's how it works:
If you continue to use a program on a regular basis, the author asks that you send in a registration fee (often about 10% of what computer stores charge for comparable software). For your fee you receive updates and author support.
Plus, with the shareware method, you get to try-before-you-buy. You don't pay for programs you don't use.
The software will not stop working even if you don't register it, so shareware relies on the honor system. It's up to you to register your software.
We strongly recommend you purchase any programs that you use on a regular basis.
